Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi) admitted that cricketer-turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was in touch with the party leadership for some time, He, however, denied that fact that he was offered Deputy CM’s position.
AAP senior leaders including Sajnay Singh, Kanwar Sandhu and Ghuggi addressed media persons here on Thursday afternoon and announced that the party leadership will visit Punjab mandis from October 28 to November 7. The party leaders will meet farmers to know their problems and suggestions for their solutions. The leaders will also meet officials of the concerned district administrations for the re-addressal of their problems.
They AAP leaders also ensured to restart the pensions, stopped by Capt. Amarinder government in 2004, of over 46000 retired government employees.
During an Interview with Hindustan Times (HT), Arvind Kejriwal said , It is not important for the people of Punjab right now. The people want to topple the present regime. They are not asking who would be the CM. They want to know how we will curb the drug menace and corruption.
