CBI to probe attack on Punjab RSS vice-chief Gagneja
The Punjab government on Wednesday transferred the probe into the August 6 murderous attack on state Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh vice-chief Brigadier Jagdish Ganeja (retd) in Jalandhar to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
A Ludhiana based Shiv Sena leader and three others have been brought from Ludhiana Central Jail by Jalandhar Commissionerate police on production for questioning in case of attack on Punjab RSS vice president Brig. Jagdish gagneja (retd). The development happens in less than 24 hours after Punjab government decided to shift the probe of the case to CBI after Punjab Police could not crack the case in 18 days.
Commissioner of Police Arpit Shukla has confirmed that the accused have been brought for questioning in connection with attempt on Brig Gagneja’s life.
