Harsimrat Badal`s Punjabi Gidha

We all have seen Union ministers Harsimrat Kaur Badal making fierce speeches in Parliament. But today minister Harsimrat Badal stunned the nation as she grooved to some Punjabi beats. Harsimrat Badal could not resist to the foot-tapping giddha (a traditional folk dance of Punjabi women) and danced to the hilt during Tiya da Mela. Girls called her on stage for dance and Harsimrat Badal joined Gidha with Girls.
The girl students of three government schools had to wait for almost extra two hours in searing heat to get bicycles under state government’s Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme as Bathinda MP and union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal turned up late at all the schools.
Even, the students of government girls’ senior secondary school in Talwandi Sabo were made to stay after school hours for more than half an hour for Bathinda MP’s visit.
As per the scheduled visit, Harsimrat was to visit government senior secondary school (girls) in Bathinda to distribute bicycles to 456 students at 11am, but the Akali leader reached at about 12:30pm. The students were made to sit on floors to wait for distribution ceremony to begin.
Consequently, the bicycle distribution programme at government school in Bhagi Bander village, situated 20km from Bathinda, which was schedule at 12:30pm, could only begin at 1:45pm, after the arrival of food processing minister.
Following the delay at the first two venues, Harsimrat, who was accompanied by a battery of senior officials of district administration, could reach Talwandi Sabo school only at 2:30pm. The students waited beyond their school hours to receive bicycle from her. However, there were no arrangements of refreshments for the students.

“We had made arrangements according to union minister’s set schedule provided by administration, but the minister reached hour late than schedule timing,” said one of the officials.
