A group of Sikh men say they were attacked by thugs because they were wearing turbans.
Harrowing CCTV footage, which can be seen in the video above, shows the men fleeing a gang who smashed up their car with bats and hammers while they were still inside.
The attack left the car with more than $10,000 in damages, with a windscreen smashed in multiple places and also deep gouges into the car’s paneling.

The victims escaped but were chased and attacked again.
The incident happened on Sunday at Harris Park in Sydney’s west, an area where racial tensions are simmering according to police.
Another video from several weeks ago shows a Sikh tradie wearing a hi-vis vest fleeing as he is attacked by a group of people on the street.
Tensions have grown between Sikh and Indian government supporters in Western Sydney, so much so that senior police have met with community leaders to call for calm.
The anger is fuelled by protests over farming laws back home.
For nearly two months, Sikh farmers have camped at the edge of India’s capital in a rebellion against the government.
Some restaurants along the popular “Little India” strip in Sydney’s west claim they have been caught in the political crossfire.
