Popular Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa was assaulted in Vancouver on Monday.
An unidentified man hit something on the singer’s head as he was exiting the Queen Elizabeth Theatre after his show.Guru had been posting about this show on his social media. He had posted a video on his Facebook page before the show. Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa is an Indian singer, songwriter and music composer associated with Punjabi, bhangra, Indi-pop and Bollywood music.
Randhawa is known for songs like ‘Lahore’, ‘Patola’, ‘High Rated Gabru’, ‘Daaru Wargi’, ‘Raat Kamal Hai’, ‘Suit’, ‘Ban Ja Rani’, ‘Made in India’, ‘Downtown’ and ‘Slowly Slowly’.
The Queen Elizabeth Theatre is one of Canada’s largest proscenium theatres, featuring 2,765 seats with a central location in downtown Vancouver
