I will drag Jaspreet Sidhu in court: Chandumajra
A businessman and social activist has claimed he gave Akali Dal MP Prem Singh Chandumajra a bribe of Rs 1 crore through one of MP’s associates, who is also a member of the Working Committee of SAD, to get him nominated as a member of the State Human Rights Commission.
Chandumajra rubbished the allegations but admitted knowing the man asking for the return of Rs 1 crore. As for Rs 1 crore deal, the MP seemed to have a rather fresh perspective. Chandumajra said there may have been a deal between Sidhu and Malha but Sidhu maintained that he has a plethora of documentation and recordings to back his claims that his ‘deal’ was with the MP and the payment was given to him through Malha.
Chandumajra, who is also the SAD general secretary, and speaks on most crucial issues in the Lok Sabha, admitted that he learnt about such allegations a few months ago, after Sidhu wrote to party MLAs. He said he apprised Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal about the issue, and also wrote to Nawanshahr senior superintendent of police (SSP) Snehdeep Sharma for inquiring into the issue, as he suspected somebody could have taken the money in his name. “It must be around three months back when I wrote to the SSP,” he said.
