Gangwar in Ludhiana : Gangster Goru Bachcha, aides open fire at rival

Wanted for murder, gangster Gaurav Sharma, alias Goru Bachcha, struck again and pumped at least six bullets into a rival gang member’s body in full public view in Ludhiana on Thursday evening, before fleeing in a car along with his accomplices.
The victim, who has been identified as Johny Lamba, was rushed to Christian Medical College and Hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.
Lamba is also facing trial in several cases, including of assault, gambling and snatching.
Witnesses said Goru Bachcha, along with his four accomplices, reached Manjit Nagar in a white Maruti Swift car. The gangster reportedly walked towards Lamba and hugged him. All of a sudden, Goru Bachcha and his accomplices took out their guns and opened fire at Lamba, said witnesses.
After pumping two bullets in the victim’s legs, the assailants shouted “asin tainu inaam den aaye haan (we are here to give you a reward)”, said sources. Then they pumped two more bullets into his stomach, after which he fell on the road, but the assailants kept shooting at him. In all, the assailants fired around 13 shots, of which six hit the victim, said police.
Police reached the spot after the incident and started the investigation. Police commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh along with other officials reached the hospital to probe the case. Aulakh said cops are probing the case to find the reason behind the attack. He said various teams have been formed to nab the accused.
The police have booked the gangster and his four unidentified accomplices for attempt to murder under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
Goru Bachcha had gunned down a three-wheeler driver, Vikrant Kumar, alias, Vicky, 25, of Himmat Singh Nagar over parking issue on April 7. A murder case was registered against him at the Dugri police station in this context. He is also facing trial in several cases of murder, loot, extortion and kidnapping.
Goru Bachcha’s alleged political connections were revealed when his pictures appeared on hoardings of SAD-backed Student Organisation of India (SOI) in the city. His picture with former SAD minister Heera Singh Gabria were also circulated on social media.
