Sikh Bodies objected on Diljit Dosanjh`s Dialog

Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Shadaa has emerged as a dark horse for the Punjabi film industry. At the last count, the romantic comedy directed by Jagdeep Sidhu has earned ₹25.75 crore across the country, emerging as the second- highest net grosser ever for films made in the language after ₹33.50 crore net earnings of Carry On Jatta 2 which is the highest ever for a Punjabi film.

According to trade website Box Office India, the two-week net box office numbers of Carry On Jatta 2 when released in 2018 were ₹26.50 crore net as the older film had collected ₹10 crore net plus in week two which was an open week before the release of Salman Khan’s Race 3 for Eid. Shadaa is now looking to cross the ₹30 crore mark and become the second film in the language to do so.
