Body Of Kidnapped NRI Woman Recovered From Canal

Ferozepur March 25, 2019: The dead body of Ravneet Kaur, NRI, who had been missing since March 14, under mysterious circumstances, from Bagge Ke Pippal village, was today found in the Bhakhra Canal near Lehragaga .

Divulging with more details, Gurcharan Singh, police station chief said, a case was registered on the statement of Harvinder Singh father of Ravneet Kaur, married to Jaspreet Singh, settled in Australia with PR – Permanent Resident – status. He had alleged that on March 14, Ravneet Kaur had gone missing under mysterious circumstances, while talking with his husband Jaspreet and kidnapped by unidentified persons. The investigation and hunt operation was on to nab the culprits.

Gurcharan Singh added that Jaspreet husband of Ravneet Kaur had some illicit relations with a girl in Australia and to make a way to marry her, managed murder of Ravneet Kaur on his visit to India by kidnapping and later on murdered by the kidnappers.

The investigations are still on to ascertain the links of Jaspreet in India for managing the kidnapping and later on, a murder of Ravneet The raids at the suspected places to nab the accused is going on and they will shortly be in the grip of the police.
