Pulwama attack mastermind killed in Tral encounter

The family of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander Mudassir Khan has identified his body as one of the two militants killed in Tral encounter, police said on Tuesday as it awaited forensic reports.The 23-year-old Khan is the mastermind of the Pulwama attack.”One of the two slain militants has been identified as Mudasir Khan, alias Mohammad Bhai, JeM commander believed to have masterminded the February 14 Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed,” an officer said.Following the attack, the security forces have cracked whip on the JeM and killed more than nine militants so far, including some top commanders.Mudassir Khan, a resident of Midoora in Tral, was an active JeM militant since 2017 and is believed to have been involved in several attacks, including the Fidayeen attack on Sanjuwa base camp in Jammu and the CRPF camp in Lethpora, over the past two years.
