Indian PM Modi left ‘red faced’ after Turkish first lady’s ‘snub’

A video of Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan clearly avoiding Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a G20 summit is heavily circulating on social media. Turkish Lady Emine Erdogan snubbed PM Narendra Modi to avoid exchange greetings with him during the G20 summit in Argentina last month in November. The ignorance from Emine Erdogan left the Prime Minister Narendra Modi baffled yet red-faced. Emine Erdogan refrained from making an eye contact with him while standing together for an official photo. She rolled her eyes on the other side and looked upward to the sky while Narendra Modi was clearly expecting a greeting from her and sought her attention but seemed disappointed after being ignored. The G20 summit was held in November in Argentina attended by the world’s 20 greatest economic powers. Emine Erdogan attended the conference with her husband Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Other leaders like Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and US President Donald Trump attended the conference. The trolls in their comments likened the situation to Malaysia’s nonagenarian First Lady Siti Hashma approaching Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan with a request to hold his hand for an official photo session during his recent visit to Malaysia and said that perhaps Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected Turkish First Lady to come up to him with a request of holding his too for an official photo session.
