Senior advocate and Aam Aadmi Party leader HS Phoolka performed ‘sewa’ and offered apology at Sri Akal Takht Sahib for the party’s manifesto gaffe on Sunday.
Phoolka, who reached Sri Darbar Sahib at around 3.00am, went straight to the ‘langar ghar’ and washed utensils. After that, he went to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and apologised on behalf of the party.

As Phoolka will again visit the shrine at 11.30am to perform sewa, he said, “It was an unintentional mistake. The Akali Dal is politicising the issue.”

He said, “Today Akalis are demanding resignation of Kejriwal. Where were they when cabinet minister Bikram Majithia had distorted the ‘shabad’ of tenth guru and added the name of Arun Jaitley to it? Was Majithia booked at that time or did chief minister Parkash singh Badal resign?”

The AAP is under criticism for putting the picture of Golden Temple and party symbol broom together on the cover page of the youth manifesto released in Amritsar on July 3.
