A BMW car allegedly belonging to independent Rajasthan MLA Nand Kishor Maharia rammed a three wheeler late on Friday night, killing three of four persons in the latter. MLA’s son Siddharth and two others were in the vehicle which subsequently rammed into a stationary police van, injuring three policemen.
“The incident took place well past midnight on Saturday near Saint Xavier Senior Secondary School in Ashok Nagar. MLA Nand Kishore Maharia’s son was in the BMW which rammed into an auto (three-wheeler) and subsequently into a stationed police van, injuring the policemen inside,” Ashok Nagar police station SHO Bala Ram said.
“Wherever a big car and youngsters are involved, there is doubt of alcohol consumption. Nothing like that,” said Sidharth, son of MLA Nand Kishor.
“The driver of the three-wheeler and two of his passengers died in the accident, while another passenger sustained injuries. Also, three policemen in the police van were also injured. We are questioning Siddharth and others. We have not arrested them yet,” Ram said.
