New Delhi: Slamming the Opposition for defaming the state, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday said that the drug problem in Punjab was much less than that in many other states of the country.

He said that some negative elements in the state were hell-bent to label the hardworking Punjabis as drug addicts and present a wrong picture of the state before the country.

Badal said that the Punjab govt has already started looking into the drug menace that has engulfed the state and is opening drug de-addiction and rehabilitation centres to make the state drug-free.

Replying to a query on the border infiltration, Badal said that he has urged the Home Minister Rajnath Singh to enhance vigil on the border areas in Punjab.

Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party, Badal said that it has no future in the state of Punjab and it was just a ‘water bubble’ that would bust soon. He also said that AAP govt has failed the people of Delhi as Arvind Kejriwal has been unsuccessful on all fronts.
